Philodendron ‘Red Anderson’ is a rare and striking hybrid from the Araceae family, valued for its variegated foliage and stems of intense red color. It is believed to be the result of crossing Philodendron ‘Pink Princess’ and Philodendron ‘White Knight’, combining distinctive traits of both varieties.

🔹 Botanical features:

Leaves: Large, glossy, heart-shaped, with a color palette ranging from dark green and burgundy to cream-white and pale pink. The variegation is unique to each leaf, offering a marbled or sectorial appearance.

Stems: Intense red or burgundy, beautifully contrasting with the variegated foliage.

Growth: Shows a tendency for slow growth and can be grown both as a climbing plant and as a houseplant with vertical support.

🔹 Recommended care:

Light: Prefers strong indirect light; direct sun exposure can cause leaf burns.

Soil: Well-drained, rich in organic matter; a mix of peat, perlite, and vermiculite is ideal.

Watering: Water moderately, allowing the top layer of soil to dry between waterings; avoid excess water to prevent root rot.

Temperature: Thrives best at temperatures between 18–27°C; sensitive to temperatures below 13°C.

Humidity: Prefers high humidity; periodic misting or the use of a humidifier is recommended.

Fertilizing: During the active growing period (spring–summer), apply a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4 weeks.

🔹 Propagation: Can be propagated by stem cuttings with visible nodes. Cuttings can be rooted in water or directly in moist substrate, maintaining constant humidity and warm temperature.

Philodendron ‘Red Anderson’ is an excellent choice for collectors of rare plants and for those who wish to add a tropical and colorful accent to their indoor space.

Note: The plant is sold with the ID provided by the producer. The level of variegation varies from one plant to another. All specimens in this batch show the specific variegation. Plants will be chosen at random. Discussions or disputes regarding variegation or ID will not be accepted.

Height with pot included: approx. 10 cm

Decorative pot is not included in the price.

Note: Stock specimens may also have leaves with defects.

What a lifesaver!
Model: 17749N, Model: 17749N
The usual box stores wanted around $150-$200 for a New and or Refurbished starter. The Ezexpreze 17749 was such a great deal and It bolted up nicely to my 1999 TJ with the 4.0 4x4! Its a great replacement, I've had it for about half a year but it starts with ease. I'll definitely get me another one as a backup at this price point!
